Product Shots test 3
The following two pictures are some of the test shots I've done this week. I got some feedback from Sinead my lecturer and she said gave some pointers in how to make the images better so I set out trying to do that! With the first one, she said to try to have it not in the centre for better composition. I usually do this anyways but there are marks on the wall so I couldn't go too far if I had a proper set-up with a background I would definitely have better. composition. The product isn't in the centre though but I would prefer it a bit more to the right. Overall though I am happy with the image. Sinead also suggested trying light the right side better as it was slightly darker than the right side. I did that by getting another lamp to light the right side of the image.
This was my set-up for the image above.
This is my second image and Sinead suggested to try light the cap more as it was completely dark. This was hard as I tried making a spotlight or even just shining the lamp on it from different angles. This is the best I could get with what I had, I was using 3 lamps. It was definitely better than the last I think. I tried to use the rule of thirds and different compositions in order to make it better but it didn't look great with this image as the light was off centre and didn't look the best. So I stuck with my gut and kept it in the middle. I think it turned out good and I'm happy with it.
This was my set up for the image above. I had my sister hold the 3rd light but forgot to take a picture of her holding it. But it was above the product to the left, slightly in front of it.
