Product Photography Research
First Image:
I picked this image as when I was looking up images to pick this caught my attention straight away! Personally, this image makes me want to go to the fridge and grab a can of coke. It just looks so desirable. This is why I picked the image as it is really a good example of product photography. It makes the consumer want to actually go and buy the item. I think it is the ice and the droplets on the can that make people crave it, they know by looking at it that it's ice-cold and that is the best way to drink one. I think the black background works really well with this image, it's so simple but really delivers the message. The lighting works very well too, the left-hand side of the can is more lit than the right. You can't see any reflection of the camera in the can too which is good.
Second Image:
I picked this image as again it really appealed to me. It was the second one to catch my attention and gaze. It is visually appealing and I think would make anyone want to eat it. It appears to be either a chocolate or a caramel sauce on top of the waffle and ice cream and the way it's dripping is very appealing. I love how the rest of the image is not in focus as if it was the image wouldn't be the same, they would definitely take away from the main focus. The presentation of the food is well done, even the dressing on the plate. The lighting fits the image, it's all lit and looking at the shadows I would say it is lit from above which works well as everything is lit.
Third Image:
This is the final image that caught my eye. I wanted to get something that wasn't food/ drink related. I saw this and it really caught my eye. It is for a company called Nature Aid. You can almost feel how natural the products are and that they're fresh and this is to do with the items they have placed around the products. They've placed plants, flowers and an avocado, the fact they're putting these fresh natural items around the products really give it a natural feel. The products are all well lit. The white background works well too, as it almost gives off a clean and fresh vibe.
